Frequently asked
Sizing, materials, custom orders and shipping. If you still have a question, just ask.
Sizes and dimensions
- How big is each piece?
- Every product page has a details list with the stone's approximate size — most pendants run about an inch to two inches. The photos are close-ups, so pieces almost always arrive smaller than they look on a screen. Want a measurement that isn't listed? Email me and I'll go measure the actual piece.
- Do I need to know my ring size?
- Not for what's in the shop right now — the rings have adjustable bands, so there's no size to choose at checkout. For a custom ring, wrap a strip of paper around your finger, mark where it overlaps and send me that measurement.
- What if the ring doesn't sit right?
- Ease the band open or closed a little at a time rather than all at once — adjustable wire gives, but it doesn't like being bent in one go. If it still won't fit, email me inside the return window and send it back. I'll re-wrap it, you cover postage to me, I cover it coming home.
- How long are the chains?
- Each necklace ships on the chain it's photographed with, and that's the length it stays — I'm not set up to swap or extend them. If a specific length matters to you, email me before you buy and I'll measure the exact chain on that piece.
- Do you make earrings?
- Yes — earrings and ear cuffs are both in the shop now. The full list is necklaces, chokers, rings, earrings, ear cuffs, bracelets and charms, and you can filter for any of them at the top of the shop page. Like everything else here they're one of a kind, so when a pair goes it's gone. If you had something else in mind, email me — knowing what people are looking for is how I decide what to make next.
Materials
- What metals do you use?
- Silver-tone and gold-tone plated wire, solid brass and copper. The metal is listed on every product page. No sterling, no solid gold — I'd rather tell you that up front than have you find out later.
- Are the silver and gold solid?
- No. The silver-tone and gold-tone wires are plated over a base metal. Plating is a finish, not the whole metal, so it thins with wear. Kept dry and stored away, it holds its color for years.
- Will brass or copper turn my skin green?
- Sometimes. Copper reacts with skin and water, and brass is mostly copper, so either one can leave a green mark. It's harmless and it washes right off. Dry hands and a piece that gets put away between wears make it much less likely.
- Are the stones real?
- Yes. I use natural crystals, minerals and stones. Each one has its own shape, color and pattern.
- What about the crystal meanings?
- The stone notes on each piece are about intention and adornment — the old associations, and what you might set out to feel when you put it on. They aren't medicine, and nothing here treats or cures anything. Wear it as a reminder, not a remedy.
Custom orders
- Can you wrap a stone I already have?
- Yes. Mail it to me and I'll wrap it however you want.
- How long does a custom piece take?
- Usually two to three weeks, with photos before it ships so you can say yes. Big or complicated pieces take longer, and I'll tell you that when I quote.
- Can I pick the stone and wire color?
- Absolutely. Silver-tone, gold-tone, brass or copper — we can talk through the options before I start.
- How much does a custom order cost?
- It depends on the stone size and wire type. Simple wraps start around $45. I quote before any work begins.
Shipping timelines
- When will my order ship?
- Ready-made pieces ship within 3–5 business days. Custom pieces ship when they're finished.
- How long does US shipping take?
- USPS Ground Advantage with tracking, usually 2–5 days once it's out the door. Shipping is $6 flat, and free over $100.
- Do you ship internationally?
- Not yet — checkout only takes US addresses, so an order from abroad won't go through. Please don't let that be the end of it: email me at divinewirejewelryusa@gmail.com and tell me which piece and which country, and I'll price the postage by hand and tell you honestly what it costs and how long it takes.
- Can I rush my order?
- Reach out before ordering. If I can move it up, I will.
