Hi, I'm
Bailey
All of this started when my uncle came to me one day and gifted me a box of old beads, stones and shells that he had lying around for quite some time. Inside that box there was a spool of copper wire. I thought that if I wrapped some of these old beads and stones then I could wear them and give them good use. Then friends started to ask where I had bought them, and it went from there.
I pick every stone myself, usually at rock shops and gem shows, and the shape of it decides where the wire goes. That's why nothing here comes out twice the same, even when I try.
These days it's silver-tone and gold-tone plated wire, solid brass and the copper I started on, whichever one the stone asks for. No sterling, no solid gold — just metal that holds up to being worn every day instead of sitting in a drawer.
What comes off the bench is necklaces, chokers, rings, earrings, ear cuffs, bracelets and charms — whatever the stone in front of me wants to be.
